A congresswoman has filed a resolution asking South Luzon Expressway operators to either suspend or reduce the payment of toll fees for 6 months, citing massive traffic jams caused by ongoing construction activities along SLEX.
"The land closure in the South Luzon Expressway (SLEX) is causing severe inconvenience to the motorists and commuters plying the expressway," Laguna Rep. Sol Aragones said in the resolution.
Aragones believes motorists and commuters should be provided some relief from the inconvenience caused by the traffic conditions.
Speaking to ABS-CBN News, the congresswoman said she left it to the committee to decide on the toll reduction. She said she wants reduction or moratorium to be implemented for 6 months.
"Six months muna.
