MANILA—Some parts of Quezon Avenue westbound will be closed to motorists to make way for the La Naval de Manila procession on Sunday, the Metropolitan Manila Development Authority said.
In a statement, the MMDA said the portion of Quezon Avenue from the tunnel of Araneta Avenue up to D. Tuazon Avenue will be closed from 4:30 p.m. to 7 p.m.
MMDA advised motorists to take the following routes:
- From Quezon Avenue West bound, all vehicles turn left to Araneta Avenue, right ERB to Welcome Rotunda and destination
- From Quezon Avenue West bound, turn right Araneta Avenue, left Maria Clara St., left Mayon St. to Welcome Rotunda and destination
- Extend further along Araneta Avenue, turn left Amoranto Sr. St., and left at Mayon St. to Welcome Rotunda and destination
MMDA said the eastbound of Quezon Avenue will not be affected by the procession.
At least 30,000 devotees are expected to participate in the procession, the agency said.
