Four witnesses were rewarded by authorities for information they shared that led to the arrests of the suspects linked to the killing of a barangay chairman in Quezon City.
This, after the Quezon City council approved the resolution seeking to give P5 million to those who can provide information on the murder of Criselle Beltran.
Quezon City Police District acting head Col. Ronnie Montejo said the witness testimonies were vital to the arrests.
Montejo said he hopes the reward money will motivate others who have knowledge in the killing to help authorities solve the case.
The victim died in an ambush in Filinvest 2, Quezon City in January.
Police are still investigating the motive behind the the killing of Beltran, who had planned to run for congresswoman.
