MANILA - President Rodrigo Duterte has named officers-in-charge at the Department of Health (DOH) and the Department of Information and Communications Technology (DICT) following the departure of the two agencies’ secretaries.

Presidential Spokesperson Ernesto Abella said Duterte has tapped Undersecretary Herminigildo Valle as OIC of the DOH and Undersecretary Eliseo Rio Jr. as OIC of the DICT.

This following the Commission on Appointments' rejection of career health official Paulyn Ubial as Health Secretary, and the resignation of DICT chief Rodolfo Salalima last month "out of delicadeza."

Valle currently oversees the DOH Office for Field Implementation Management, while Rio is Undersecretary for Special Concerns.
