A low pressure area or brewing storm will bring rains over large swaths of Luzon on Sunday, said state weather bureau PAGASA.
Moderate to occasionally heavy rains are expected in Bicol region and the provinces of Apayao, Cagayan, Ilocos Norte, Batanes and Babuyan islands, PAGASA meteorologist Meno Mendoza told DZMM.
Cloudy skies with light to moderate rains will prevail in Metro Manila and the rest of Luzon.
Visayas and Mindanao meanwhile will experience fair weather except for isolated rains in the afternoon or evening.
The LPA, last spotted in Maddela, Quirino, may intensify into a tropical cyclone after it leaves Luzon and reaches the West Philippine Sea, said Mendoza.
Sea travel for fishing boats and other small vessels is risky in the northern seaboard of Luzon due to strong winds, the weather forecaster said.
