MANILA- Peter "Bikoy" Advincula was released from the hospital after tests showed nothing was wrong with him, police said Sunday.
Police on Saturday said Advincula was rushed to the Philippine National Police (PNP) General Hospital because he was experiencing breathing problems and chest pains.
"His health condition is now normal," the PNP said Sunday, noting that the final diagnosis was anxiety disorder.
In May, Advincula identified himself as the hooded figure in a series of viral online videos called “Ang Totoong Narcolist,” which accused President Rodrigo Duterte, his family and Sen. Christopher Lawrence "Bong" Go of being involved in the illegal drug trade.
He has since retracted his statement and accused the opposition, particularly former Senator Antonio Trillanes IV, of being behind the videos as part of a plot to oust the President.
Trillanes, however, has denied the allegation.
Advincula has been under witness protection after he filed sedition and other complaints against the opposition, church leaders and lawyers.
