MANILA - A low-pressure area is expected to bring rains over Cagayan Valley and the Cordillera Administrative Region, state weather bureau PAGASA said Saturday.
The weather system was sighted approximately 250 kilometers northeast of Baler town, Aurora.
The PAGASA said it will unlikely develop into a tropical depression as it will dissipate within 24 hours.
The weather agency said a tropical depression outside the Philippine area of responsibility is being monitored and its trough could affect Luzon in a few days.
