MANILA—Peter "Bikoy" Advincula was brought to the PNP General Hospital, because he was experiencing breathing problems and chest pains, police said on Saturday.
According to doctors, tests administered on Advincula showed nothing was wrong.
"ECG and X-ray tests performed reveal normal results. Breath sounds were clear. Further blood tests will be conducted to rule out possible heart attack," the PNP said in a statement.
"If it turns out negative, he may be discharged any time. At this time, he remains stable and under observation."
In May, Advincula identified himself as the hooded figure in a series of viral online videos called “Ang Totoong Narcolist,” which accused President Rodrigo Duterte, his family and Sen. Christopher Lawrence "Bong" Go of being involved in the illegal drug trade.
He has since retracted his statement and accused the opposition, particularly former Sen. Antonio Trillanes IV, of being behind the videos as part of a plot to oust the President called "Project Sodoma."
Advincula has been under witness protection after he filed sedition and other complaints against the opposition, church leaders and lawyers.
