BACOLOD CITY – The City Livelihood and Development Office (CLDO) is now producing in full swing souvenir items such as dolls and leis for the 40th Masskara Festival opening next week.
Workers are going overtime to complete designs of the Masskara dancer dolls, other souvenir items and the usual leis with smiling masks.
Brenda Burdeos, head of the CLDO, said 29 young artists are in charge of designing different headdresses and costumes of the Masskara dancer dolls.
Burdeos said the items would also be given to other local government units as a way to promote the city.
The festival will be held from October 8 to 27.
