MANILA - Assistant Communications Secretary Mocha Uson's resignation from office will not shield her from liability over her numerous lies, the camp of Vice President Leni Robredo said Tuesday.

Uson in a Senate budget hearing, said she was quitting from the Presidential Communications Operations Office as a "sacrifice." Some left-leaning lawmakers, she claimed, were delaying the passage of the PCOO's budget because of her interview with Lumad leaders.

"Madaming beses nang ipinakita ni Mocha Uson na hindi talaga niya naiintindihan at hindi siya handa para gampanan ang tungkulin ng isang lingkod bayan. Kaya hindi kawalan sa bayan ang kanyang pagbibitaw," Robredo's spokesperson Barry Gutierrez said in a statement.

(Mocha Uson has shown in many instances that she does not understand and she is not ready to fulfill the obligation of a public servant. This is why her resignation is not a loss for the country.)

"Huwag lang siyang magkamaling isipin na dahil nag resign na siya, hindi na siya mananagot para sa lahat ng kasinungalingan at paninirang ipinasabog niya," he added.

(She should just not make the mistake of thinking that because she has resigned, she will no longer be held responsible for all the lies and vilification she unleashed.)

Uson has repeatedly lambasted Robredo and the Liberal Party.

Last year, the sexy dancer-turned-Palace official hurled curses at Robredo during an online livestream of her radio commentary show, which led to its suspension.

Uson in the same year stirred talks about the "LeniLeaks" controversy, which allegedly shows a public Yahoo! groups message thread where supporters of Robredo's supporters and aides allegedly discussed the ouster of President Rodrigo Duterte.

The Vice President has denied any participation in supposed plots to unseat the President. Palace also cleared in the alleged plot.

Recently, Robredo criticized Uson over a lewd jingle promoting federalism in the latter's Facebook page, which has a 5.6 million followers.
