MANILA - The University of the Philippines College Admission Test (UPCAT) will be held on Oct. 27 and 28.
Examinees are reminded to take note of the following changes in schedule:
This year saw UP taking in a record number of applicants with 167,000 applying for academic year 2019-2020.
UP Vice President for Public Affairs Dr. Jose Dalisay, Jr. previously said UP's free tuition policy led to the spike in number of applicants.
Originally scheduled this September, the exams were postponed due to Typhoon Ompong.
UP campuses and select private and public schools nationwide will serve as test centers for the UPCAT.
On average, only 17 percent of examinees pass the UPCAT.
