MANILA - The Ultra Lotto 6/58 jackpot is expected to break prize money records on Friday as the pot money is expected to hit at least P760 million in the next draw, a Philippine Charity Sweepstakes Office (PCSO) official said.
The Lotto's highest prize money was the P741 million Grand Lotto 6/55 jackpot won by an overseas Filipino worker in 2010.
"It's an estimate. Sales of the 6/58 from Wednesday to Friday will determine additional jackpot contribution," an official who asked not to be named told ABS-CBN News.
The 6/58 jackpot is hard to win because there are about 40 million possible combinations, ABS-CBN Analytics Head Edson Guido told DZMM.
Bettors who are desperate to win the jackpot will lose more money if they try to bet on all 40 million combinations, Guido said.
"One ticket is P24 so multiply that by 40 million, that's about P1 billion. Lugi ka pa ng P300 million," he said.
The Ultra Lotto 6/58 is drawn every Sunday, Tuesday, and Friday.
