Male cadaver found inside sack in Cotabato City

COTABATO CITY – A male cadaver placed inside a sack with a placard saying “motornapper ako, huwag pamarisan” was found in the Diversion Road, Barangay Rosary Heights 9 Tuesday morning.

Based on the investigation of the Scene of the Crime Operatives, his hands and feet were tied with a tie wire, and the cause of death could be due to strangulation.

Two hours after the cadaver was recovered, Naila Mama went to the area and positively identified that the cadaver as his son, Ismael Mama, 26, a resident of Tukananes, Barangay Poblacion 7, Cotabato City.

Mama denied that his son was involved in motorcycle theft, and is asking for justice for her son’s death.

She said that around 4:00 p.m. Monday, two male individuals wearing a bonnet aboard a motorcycle forcibly abducted his son while at an eatery along Jose Lim Street.

Police Station 2 Commander Police Senior Inspector Carlo Jurinario said they have yet to identify the suspects. Investigators will also look into the background of the victim if he is involved in motorcycle theft.
