MANILA - Law freshman Horacio "Atio" Castillo III will not come home to his dog "Lega" again.
In a Facebook post, Atio's uncle Gerardo Castillo said Lega visits his nephew's bedroom and wonders why he has not come home yet.
"My dearest Atio, Lega misses you so bad that she wants to kiss you but she cannot comprehend why you are no longer with her," the caption read.
"Do you know Atio she goes to your room and wonder why you have not come home yet but I know she knows something must have gone wrong."
Gerardo said he wishes it was him in Atio's place instead and vowed to seek justice for him.
"I swear I'll bring you justice Atio but the sad part you are gone and how I wish I should have just be the one because you have such a great future ahead of you," he said.
Castillo, 22, died due to massive injuries consistent with hazing, according to an autopsy report.
His body was allegedly found dumped in a street in Balut, Tondo. The student was brought to the Chinese General Hospital by one John Paul Solano, but was discovered already lifeless.
Castillo's family found his body at the hospital early Monday after receiving a tip from an anonymous text message.
