MANILA—A magnitude-5 earthquake jolted Catanduanes early Saturday, the Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (Phivolcs) said.
The tremor occurred at 2:04 a.m. at a depth of 9 kilometers northeast of Panganiban town.
Instrumental intensity 1 was recorded in Legazpi City, Albay.
The Phivolcs said the quake will not cause damage, but could lead to aftershocks.
