The House Committee on Justice on Tuesday started its investigation into drug syndicates at the National Bilibid Prison (NBP) and the alleged involvement of officials from the Aquino administration.

Committee chairperson Rep. Reynaldo V. Umali said the investigation will be fair, amid allegations from former justice secretary and current Senator Leila de Lima that it is a "sham".
