MANILA - The National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) on Thursday served a court order to a Bureau of Corrections personnel to access her mobile phone during the Senate hearing on the good conduct time allowance mess.

Sen. Richard Gordon, chairman of the blue ribbon committee, ordered the NBI to "dramatically" serve the warrant to Corrections Officer 3 Veronica Buño.

The NBI's application for a warrant of disclosure was approved by Presiding Judge Victoria Soriano Villadolid of the Manila Regional Trial Court branch 24.

The NBI sought a court warrant to allow them open Buño's mobile phone which was passcode-protected.

Atty. Kristtia Amores served the warrant to Buño who immediately provided her passcode.

"We successfully opened the mobile phone so our next step is to subject this to digital forensic examination and we will submit the report to the committee," said NBI special agent Christopher Paz.

Buño, Correctional Senior Inspector Maria Belinda Bansil and Staff Sergeant Ramoncito Roque have denied witness Yolanda Camilon's allegations that she was asked P50,000 to shorten her common-law husband's prison term.
