An official of the United States Embassy visited the Senate on Thursday morning, records showed.
Josh Morris, who is reportedly US Embassy political officer, arrived at around 10 a.m. to meet with senators including Senate President Vicente "Tito" Sotto III and Sen. Gringo Honasan, according to the Senate's logbook.
Sotto said Morris' visit was a courtesy call.
Sen. Antonio Trillanes IV neither confirmed nor denied that Morris visited him, even as some witnessed the U.S. embassy official coming out of the senator's office. --Report from Robert Mano, ABS-CBN News
