MANILA - Sister Patricia Fox has filed a motion for consideration at the Bureau of Immigration after the extension of her missionary visa was denied.

In her motion for reconsideration, she stated that she has been rendering missionary service in the country for 27 years, and it would be a violation of the memorandum of agreement last November 10, 1997 between the BI and the Catholic Bishops' Conference of the Philippines (CBCP), which restricts missionary visa holders for up to only 10 years.

The second reason for her motion for reconsideration is because she believes that the approval of her application for extension will be inconsistent with the deportation order against her.

Meanwhile, Fox said that she is more hopeful with her case after General Jovito Palparan was found guilty of kidnapping and illegal detention over the disappearance of 2 University of the Philippines students in 2006.

She is one with the family of the victims in fighting for justice.
