Magnitude 4.7 quake hits Oriental Mindoro

MANILA—A 4.7-magnitude earthquake jolted Oriental Mindoro early Tuesday, the Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (Phivolcs) said, but there were no immediate reports of damage.

The tremor occurred at 1:17 a.m. at a depth of 183 kilometers northwest of Puerto Galera.

Instrumental intensity 1 was recorded in Puerto Galera, Quezon City and Bacoor City in Cavite.

Phivolcs said the quake will not cause damage or aftershocks.
