Cebu Doctors' U grad tops respiratory therapist licensure exam

The Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) announced Monday that 740 out of 1,018 examinees passed the Respiratory Therapist Licensure Examination given this month.

Megan Ashley Casaverde Bartido of Cebu Doctors' University topped the exam with a rating of 89.75 percent.

Jean Trisha Babera Epe (Cebu Doctors' University) and Lance Beltran Francisco (Our Lady of Fatima University-Valenzuela) tied at second place with a rating of 89.50 percent.

Francine Varela Solis, also from Cebu Doctors' University, placed third with a rating of 89.25 percent.

Cagayan State University-Andrews Campus was this year’s top performing school with a 100 percent passing rate.

The successful examinees who garnered the highest places in the examination are the following:

Meanwhile, 102 out of 167 examinees passed the Respiratory Therapist Licensure Examination in Middle East given last August.

The licensure exams were given by the Board of Respiratory Therapy in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates; Al-Khobar, Jeddah and Riyadh in Saudi Arabia; Doha, Qatar; Kuwait; and in Muscat, Oman.

Richard de Castro Amon of University of Perpetual Help System-Laguna topped the examination with a rating of 87.75 percent.

Mae Ilagan Zarsona (San Pedro College-Davao City) came in second place with a rating of 87 percent, while Mark John Yadao Ramiterre (Saint Jude College-Manila) placed third with a rating of 86.25 percent.
