MANILA (UPDATE)—Mall-goers rushed out to the streets and some structures cracked and crumbled when a 6.4-magnitude earthquake struck Davao Oriental on Saturday afternoon.
No one was reported injured in the powerful quake, which was earlier reported to be a magnitude 6.3.

The quake also forced students to evacuate Ateneo de Davao University in Davao City.
Meanwhile, products toppled along aisles and light fixtures fell from the ceiling in a supermarket in Mati City.
Glass shattered as it fell from an establishment in Matina Aplaya, Davao City.
Steel rods and a crane swayed atop a building undergoing construction along J.P. Laurel Avenue, Davao City.

A hillside partially collapsed along the highway in Barangay Tomoaong, Tarragona town due to the quake.
The walls of San Pedro Claver Parish in Tarragona town, meanwhile, cracked and partially collapsed.
