MANILA—The Philippine National Police-Internal Affairs Service (PNP-IAS) on Friday urged the public to report inappropriate behavior of police officers who are on duty.

This, after 4 policemen were caught drinking liquor while on duty in Barangay Talon Uno, Las Piñas City early Friday.

PNP-IAS inspector general Alfegar Triambulo said they received information that a police mobile was parked in the area while blinkers were flashing.

However, no one was inside the vehicle which prompted IAS to check.

The police officers were identified as Patrolmen Samruss Inoc, Robemarla Abales and Alquinn Orgen and Police Cpl. Randy Danao. They were all disarmed and arrested.

One police officer managed to escape but PNP-IAS personnel are investigating his identity.

Triambulo said they have been receiving similar reports from provinces that police patrol cars with flashing blinkers were left unmanned.

PNP-IAS is preparing the complaints to be filed against the policemen. They will be charged with neglect of duty and conduct unbecoming of a police officer, all considered grave offenses.

Triambulo asked the public to report any misconduct committed by police officers.

"Tulungan po sana kami na itulak ang mga kapulisan natin para magtrabaho dahil kulang ang aming mga personnel," he said.
