MANILA - Businessman Arnold Padilla, who was caught on video manhandling traffic enforcers, has been finally detained.

He was transferred to the custodial facility of the National Capital Region Police Office (NCRPO) after he was discharged from the Philippine National Police General Hospital (PNPGH)

In a photo released by NCRPO Director Guillermo Eleazar, Padilla is seen seated on the floor with other inmates.

He was earlier placed under hospital arrest due to hypertension.

The businessman was arrested on August 24 for illegal possession of firearms and explosives following a raid in his house in Makati City.

Padilla, his partner, and bodyguards made headlines last month after security footage showed them mauling traffic enforcers, who flagged down their vehicle for running a red light.
