MANILA - ABS-CBN shows and subsidiaries took home 7 Quill Awards, Saturday for its communication programs and projects that centered on public service.
DZMM radio received accolades for its "Halalan 2019 Ikaw Na Ba: The DZMM Senatorial Candidates’ Interview" and "DZMM Kapamilya Day," where the audience learned more about senatorial hopefuls for the May 2019 elections and government programs.
DZMM's "Good Trip" was also recognized for helping both drivers and commuters learn about policies on road safety.
The "Tawag ng Tanghalan" segment on noontime show "It's Showtime" was cited for spearheading projects for Filipino artists.
The "Tawag Ng Tanghalan sa e-Frequency" - a singing competition exclusive for ABS-CBN employees - was also lauded for giving Kapamilya workers an avenue to express their talents.
ABS-CBN TV Plus also received a Quill Award for bringing high-quality television service to areas beyond Metro Manila.
"ABS-CBN’s Unilever Story: That Partnership That Pays Off," a joint project of the network and the consumer goods company, received the Quill for excellence in crafting digital content.
With 7 awards, ABS-CBN was also nominated for Company of the Year, an award given to the organization that received the most number of awards for the year.
