MANILA (UPDATE) — A 5.2-magnitude earthquake jolted parts of Davao Oriental, the Phivolcs said Saturday.
The Phivolcs said the tremor struck at 9:02 p.m. at about 21 kilometers southeast of Baganga town.
The earthquake was reportedly tectonic in origin, with a depth of 35 km.
The tectonic temblor was felt at Intensity III in the towns of Baganga, Manay, and Caraga.
The tremor was also felt at Intensity II in Cateel town and Mati City, and Bislig City in Surigao del Sur, while Intensity I was felt in Davao City.
According to the Phivolcs, no damage was reported but aftershocks were expected.
Earlier, a 4.1-magnitude quake was reported in the region.
