MANILA - Two pilots were injured after the plane they were maneuvering crashed off the coast of Nasugbu, Batangas, Saturday.
Capt. Eugene Avila and his co-pilot Capt. Armando Ducat sustained minor injuries after their Piper Aztec multi-engine plane crashed and submerged 17 meters beneath the sea near Barangay Papaya in Nasugbu, authorities said.
The plane was bound for Sangley Point in Cavite from Cuyo, Palawan when the incident occurred around 1 p.m., initial investigation showed.
The plane crashed due to a fuel system failure, the pilots told authorities.
Avila and Ducat were brought to the Jabez Medical Center for treatment.
