Marcos-style dictatorship
In his last speech, President Duterte said the country is better off with a Marcos-style dictatorship and that Vice President Leni Robredo won’t be able hack it if she becomes President. This statement is sure to elicit a lot of reactions. Leni Robredo will be at the CCP for the Ramon Magsaysay awards at 5 p.m. Meanwhile, Imee Marcos will be in a forum at 9:30 a.m. and could give her take on the President’s latest pronouncements. She might also say something about the reactions to the Kabataang Barangay reunion right held at UP. Former President Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo will be in an event in Pampanga and she might be asked about her reactions to Duterte’s preference to a Marcos-style dictatorship. The President also insisted that Naga is a “hotbed” of shabu and that the brother of Jesse Robredo, who is said to be blind, is behind the illegal drug trade there.

'Flawed'
The DOJ said it has completed a review of the torpedoed deal between Nayong Pilipino Foundation and Landing Corp. for a resorts and casino project. The results have been forwarded to Palace and the DOJ said it will be the Palace who will release the results. The President fired top officials of the foundation for supposedly coming up with a deal that was “flawed” and “disadvantageous” to the country. ANC will watch out for any statements from the Palace on this.

Lerma is staking his reputation in the art world on its authenticity.
