DAVAO CITY - A mass was held Thursday to commemorate the first year of the tragic Roxas night market bombing in Davao City.

Davao Archbishop Romulo Valles led the mass attended by family members of the 15 fatalities and 69 persons injured in the attack.

The Adremesin couple traveled from Nurallah, South Cotabato to remember the death of their son SP01 Jay Adremesin.

"Naka-move on na pero masakit pa rin," said Herman Adremesin.

Davao City Mayor Sara Duterte once again apologized for the incident and vowed that the city government will continue to help the victims.

"Sorry it had to happen, you had to go through with it and we have to remember this every year," Duterte said.

The city government has allocated a P9-million trust fund for the bombing victims, with P7.5 million for livelihood and medical maintenance of the families of victims and survivors.

Meanwhile, P4 million was allotted for the recuperation and recovery of those who were severely injured.

A candle lighting ceremony and flower offering at the memorial marker followed after the mass.
