MANILA- The De La Salle-College of Saint Benilde (CSB) has recognized the ABS-CBN News Channel for its deaf advocacy, citing its provision of live sign language interpretation during President Rodrigo Duterte's 2nd State of the Nation Address.

The school on Wednesday presented ANC with a trophy of appreciation after the news channel tapped interpreters from the CSB School of Deaf Education and Applied Studies to serve as interpreters during the broadcast of the President's address.

Interpreters from the CSB as well as those from the Philippine National Association of Sign Language Interpreters used Filipino sign language in conveying the President's messages during the broadcast.

Since 2010, ANC has partnered with the CSB to provide live interpretation during the SONA and other historic events, including Pope Francis' visit to the Philippines in 2015 and the presidential debates last year.
