10 Chinese tourists rescued from distressed motorboat off Bohol

CEBU—The Philippine Coast Guard (PCG) rescued 10 Chinese nationals and 3 crew members aboard a distressed motorized outrigger in the waters off Bohol Thursday night.

The motorboat "Go Deep" was on its way back to Panglao Island from Sumilon Island in Oslob, Cebu when its engine conked out.

The skipper called for help at 5:15 p.m. and Coast Guard personnel located the troubled boat adrift at sea off Balicasag Island at 7:15 p.m.

The passengers and crew members were safe and were brought back to Panglao Island.—Report from Randy Jainar, ABS-CBN News
