ROSARIO, LA UNION - The body of a still unidentified person was recovered along Maharlika Highway at Barangay Rabon, Rosario, La Union, Sunday morning.
The body was wrapped in a white printed blanket and three layers of hard and large plastic cellophane.
Initial investigation showed the victim was possibly tortured by at least three individuals.
It was also discovered by responding police officers that the victim's mouth was covered by duct tape and his hands and feet were tied with nylon chord.
The victim sustained multiple stab wounds on the head.
"Probably 'di kaya 'to ng isang tao, so marami sila. Siguro mga 2-3. Kasi yung mga tama niya, sa ulo. Lacerations." Police Chief Inspector Rogelio Miedes, Chief of Police of Rosario Municipal Police Station said.
The unidentified victim is 6-feet tall, has a medium body build and has fair complexion. Aside from his silver bracelet, Police Officers could no longer provide distinct identifications.
The Municipal Police department is alarmed by the incidents, hence their intensified patrolling.
"Actually naaalarma na rin po kami kasi dito talaga kasi yung boundaries. Meron kaming tatlong boundaries dito sa Barangay... dito sa may Sison at sa may Sison-Rosario. Meron tayong papunta ng Baguio. So probably dito talaga yung pinakatapunan nila," added Miedes.
This has been the third unidentified cadaver dumped in Rosario, La Union.
The body temporarily lies in La Forteza, Funeral in Rosario, La Union.
