The Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) has secured the support of Cebu City club owners in its anti-narcotics campaign following a meeting on Tuesday.
PDEA-7 Director Yogi Filemon Ruiz said club owners promised that they would cooperate with the agency if there would be an operation inside their establishments.
They are also willing to undergo seminars on how to identify illegal drugs and how to maintain a drug-free workplace.
The PDEA-7 earlier revealed that five clubs in Cebu City and Mandaue City were being used in illegal drug transactions.
President Rodrigo Duterte earlier tagged Cebu as a drug "hot spot," citing the involvement of police and local officials in the drug trade.
