MANILA - Land Transportation and Franchising Regulatory Board (LTFRB) chief Martin Delgra promised to comply with President Rodrigo Duterte's order to vacate his post once a formal directive has been issued.

In a text message sent to ABS-CBN News on Sunday, Delgra said the Department of Transportation (DOTr) and its agency heads are one in its fight against corruption.

"The DOTr as headed by Sec. (Arthur) Tugade collectively abhors corruption. It has been reiterated by Sec. Tugade to all USECs (undersecretaries) and agency heads that we shall be uncompromising & unforgiving in issues of corruption. Any removal is supported by DOTr," he said.

He added that he will vacate his post once a formal directive has been issued.

Land Transportation Office (LTO) chief Ed Galvante has also expressed his willingness to comply with Duterte's order and vacate his post.

"I will comply. 'Yun ang hingi ng Pangulo, I will comply," he said.

Earlier Sunday, Duterte said he was declaring all appointive government positions vacant since the bureaucracy had not heeded his call to stop corruption, singling out LTO and LTFRB.

He also asked the heads of both agencies to report to him next week.
