An entertainment writer cried foul after he was tagged as the supposed driver-lover of embattled Senator Leila de Lima.
"Nawindang ako at napatawa paggising [I was shocked and laughing when I woke up]," Roldan Frias Castro said in a Facebook post Friday, after he was identified by a website as de Lima's driver.
President Rodrigo Duterte said earlier this week that De Lima's driver got money from drug lords detained at the national penitentiary. The two are also having an "illicit affair," according to the President.
"Wala akong kamalay-malay pinagpipistahan na pala ang picture namin ni Sen. De Lima na kuha nu'ng presscon niya sa movie press [I had no idea netizens were already feasting on a photo that I took with de Lima during a press conference with the movie press]," Castro added in his post.
Castro, a former president of the Philippine Movie Press Club Inc. (PMPC), said he was shocked to receive several calls and messages.
"Trending daw me...ako raw yung driver niya. My gosh kung alam lang nila na hindi ako marunong mag-drive dahil nerbyoso ako [They said I'm already trending. My gosh, if they only know I don't even know how to drive because I am the nervous type]," Castro added.
Castro also lamented how quickly people shared the article with his picture..
"Hindi nga ako makalabas ng bahay pag walang inaasahang driver hahaha... Eto namang nasa social media share nang share nang hindi nagre-research [I can't even leave the house without a driver. Now, netizens just share stories without researching," he said.
