CEBU CITY - A suspected big-time drug pusher was arrested in a buy-bust operation in Barangay Kalunasan in Cebu City on Tuesday afternoon.
Police Lt. Col. Glenn Mayam, Drug Enforcement Group chief, identified the suspect as "Raffy", 23 years old, who was arrested inside a rented room in Unit 2 Opra, Barangay Kalunasan at around 5:50 in the afternoon after he sold suspected shabu worth P1.7 million to an undercover policeman.
He was also caught in possession of more than a kilo of suspected shabu worth P8.5 million and bundles of boodle money.
Mayam said they have been monitoring Raffy’s transactions for about two months due to reports that he has been selling illegal drugs in Cebu province.
The suspect is also reportedly a member of a drug syndicate in the province whose major contact is in Cebu City Jail.
The drug bust was jointly conducted by the Drug Enforcement Group, Philippine Drug Enforcement Unit and the Cebu City Police Office.
