AFP chief awards medals to wounded soldiers in Zamboanga City

Armed Forces of the Philippines chief of staff Eduardo Año on Saturday awarded medals to soldiers who fought in Marawi city, Basilan and Zamboanga del Norte.

During a visit to Camp Navarro General Hospital in Zamboanga City, Año bestowed the Wounded Personnel Medal to Staff Sgt. Junifel Pangasian, Sgt. Yusop Nahudan, Sgt. Al-Muktar Sali, Corp. Ayatulla Hamid, Private Arjone Bano, Mole Icasama and Lito Lalag of the Civilian Active Auxiliary, and Charlie Alejandro of the Civilian Volunteers' Organization.

Western Mindanao Command chief Lt. Gen. Carlito Galvez, Joint Task Force Sulu commander Brig. Gen. Cirilito Sobejana, Joint Task Force Tawi-Tawi Brig. Custodio Parcon, Jr., and Joint Task Force Zamboanga Col. Leonel Nicolas accompanied Año.
