MANILA - Passengers of Metro Rail Transit Line 3 (MRT-3) were forced to use their umbrellas to protect themselves from water dripping from the train's ceiling on Tuesday afternoon.
In a video posted by Giselle Visitacion Tolosa, several passengers were seen using their umbrellas inside the train coach allotted for women, children, and persons with disability (PWD) while water was leaking from the ceiling.
In an interview with ABS-CBN News, Tolosa said the incident happened around 4 p.m. to 5 p.m. Tuesday between Boni Avenue station and Taft station.
She added that it was raining before she took the train but said it was no longer raining outside while water was dripping from the train ceiling.
The Department of Transportation (DOTr) and MRT-3 management have yet to comment on the incident.
