Around P310,000 worth of illegal drugs hidden inside a sock were discovered in Barangay Taculing, Bacolod City on Tuesday.
Chief Insp. Jovil Sedel said they seized 57 elongated sachets and 4 big sachets of suspected shabu, which were placed inside a sock, from Don Ernst Gonzales, 29 years old.
Police said they were able to buy a sachet of suspected shabu worth P1,200 from the suspect.
Sedel said Gonzales is a street-level pusher.
"We have been monitoring him for weeks. He transacts almost daily," he said.
Police said they are still looking into where Gonzales gets his supply.
Gonzales, meanwhile, denied selling illegal drugs and claimed the suspected shabu was "planted".
He added that he wants a fingerprint examination on the seized shabu to prove he did not possess it.
Gonzales said he was in Dona Juliana Drive in Barangay Taculing because he was meeting a friend who had a motorcycle which was up for repair. He said he is engaged in the buy-and-sell business.
