Rachelle Bersamin of the Ateneo de Davao topped the Guidance Counselor Licensure Examination with a rating of 90.15 percent.

A graduate of Ateneo de Davao shared her secret to topping the recent licensure exam for guidance counselors.

Psychologist Rachelle Bersamin, who topped the August 2017 Guidance Counselor Licensure exam with a rating of 90.15%, said she studied and prayed hard for the test.

"Dalawa lang 'yung mabigat na preparations: mag-study tapos pray before study, pray in-between," she said.

The Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) announced Monday that 256 out of 393 examinees passed the Guidance Counselor Licensure Examination given by the Board of Guidance and Counseling this month.

Bersamin used to teach psychology, which she did for almost 15 years. She is also a licensed psychometrician.

Bersamin has a degree in Psychology from the University of Mindanao and has a master's degree in Psychology and Guidance Counseling from the Ateneo de Davao University.

Bersamin said she is working on her doctorate degree in Guidance and Counseling in San Pedro College.

Bersamin is set to take the psychology board examination in October.
