A magnitude 4.0 earthquake struck near Pililla, Rizal early Tuesday morning, the Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (Phivolcs) said.
The tremor, which was tectonic in origin, struck at a depth of 5 kilometers at around 1:28 a.m.
It was felt at Intensity IV in Pililla; Intensity III in San Mateo and Montalban, Rizal; and Intensity I in Quezon City.
Phivolcs is not expecting either aftershocks or damage.
The state agency also revised its bulletin on an earlier earthquake that struck near the same area on Tuesday morning.
Phivolcs said the 12:31 a.m. tremor struck 4 kilometers southeast of Pililla, and not Mabitac, Laguna.
It also revised the magnitude to 3.9, instead of 4.2.
