MANILA - Moderate to heavy rains with strong winds will dampen Metro Manila and nearby areas on Monday.
In a thunderstorm advisory released 9:06 a.m., PAGASA said rains may persist in Metro Manila, Zambales, Bataan, Rizal, and Pampanga within the next 2 hours.
Residents were advised to take precautionary measures against flash floods and landslides.
Although unlikely to hit land, tropical storm Hanna will continue to enhance the southwest monsoon, which will bring rains to several parts of the country, according to PAGASA.
The weather disturbance, which has forced the cancellation of classes in some parts of Luzon, is forecast to become a typhoon once it nears Batanes, PAGASA said.
