MANILA—Vice-President Leni Robredo on Tuesday took to social media to debunk social media posts saying her trust ratings declined and the reason for it is unflattering pictures.
Robredo posted on Twitter screenshots of those false claims.
"Not true, I never said this. Obviously fake news," she tweeted.
"Our trust ratings actually rose by 11%. A majority of Filipinos are satisfied with the work that we do in our office and we will continue to do the work needed to reach those in the margins."
The latest Social Weather Stations survey showed a 14-point decline in Robredo's net satisfaction rating for the second quarter of 2019.
Her rating declined in March from plus-42, categorized as "good," to plus-28, considered "moderate" by the SWS, after a drop in all areas except Metro Manila.
More than half, or 57 percent, out of 1,200 Filipinos said they were satisfied with her performance, while 29 percent said they weren't.
This was in contrast to a recent Pulse Asia survey in which Robredo received higher approval and trust ratings.
In the said survey, Robredo received a 55 percent approval rating and a 52 percent trust rating, an increase from the 49 percent and 47 percent ratings she received in the previous quarter, respectively.
