Quiapo road rage suspect Vhon Tanto has been turned over to Manila police Saturday morning, following an overnight trip from Masbate.
Tanto arrived at the Manila Police District at 6:52 a.m.
Tanto is the suspect in the road rage killing of cyclist Mark Vincent Geralde. He also injured a bystander who was hit by bullets allegedly from his gun.
According to the police, Tanto is expected to undergo inquest proceedings for murder and frustrated murder charges after booking.
While on his way inside the Manila Police District, a man tried to throw a punch at Tanto but missed.
Also present at the Manila Police District were PNP Chief Director General Ronald "Bato" Dela Rosa, Public Attorney's Office (PAO) chief Persida Acosta and Geralde's family.
Elements of the Philippine Army arrested Tanto before noon on Friday in Barangay Poblacion, Milagros, Masbate.
CCTV footage showed Tanto, who was driving a red Hyundai Eon car, shooting Geralde several times following a fistfight on P. Casal Street last Monday.
His vehicle was later recovered in Nueva Vizcaya. Tanto's brother-in-law said he took a Florida bus going to Manila after leaving his vehicle Thursday.
