MANILA (UPDATED) -- An alleged member of a drug ring was found dead and tied to a utility pole in Barangay Campo 4, Talisay in Cebu on Friday, the third such killing in the city in the last 5 days.
The victim, Jher Sigue, bore at least 8 gunshot wounds, said investigators.
Tied to his neck was a cardboard sign with a warning that translates roughly to "Stop or else you're next, thieves, drug pushers, drug lords."
Another drug suspect, Jimbo Gadiano, was shot dead and found with his hands tied together in a vacant lot in the city Thursday.
Last Monday, alleged drug ring member Dante Autero was also shot multiple times before his body was hung off Talisay's Mananga Bridge.
A sign on top of the body read: "Ay ko sunda, Tulisan ko (Don't imitate, I am a thief)".
The phrases on the signs found on Autero and the latest victim were both written in bold letters with what appeared to be black marker.
