MANILA—The southwest monsoon or habagat will bring rains in parts of Luzon on Friday, state weather bureau PAGASA said.
The Ilocos Region, Mimaropa, Zambales and Bataan will experience cloudy skies with scattered rain showers and thunderstorms.
Meanwhile, Metro Manila and the rest of the country will have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers.
Weather specialist Gener Quitlong said a tropical depression outside the Philippine area of responsibility (PAR) is expected to weaken into a low-pressure area (LPA) and will not affect any part of the country.
Several villages in Santa Maria, Bulacan and San Jose, Occidental Mindoro were flooded Thursday due to incessant rains.
