LAPU-LAPU CITY, Cebu - Around 150 houses were razed after a fire hit Sitio Tacan, Barangay Ibo here, early Sunday.

No one was reported hurt during the blaze, which was raised to Task Force Bravo.

A woman was placed under police custody for allegedly throwing stones at the responding firemen.

"She wanted the firemen to fire the water hoses in their area first. We understand her sentiment but it was not a valid reason for her to throw stones at our firemen," said SF01 Hadji Samonte, fire investigator of Lapu Lapu City Fire Department.

The sitio is a few meters away from the Ibo highway and across the Mactan Cebu International Airport.

Victims were temporarily evacuated inside the classrooms of Ibo Elementary School.

Damage was pegged at P400,000.
