MANILA - The Philippine National Police (PNP) is ironing out plans for a reality television show that will feature police operations against crime and narcotics.
Senior Supt. Wilbert Cruz, director of the PNP Community Relations group, said the show will utilize 600 CCTV cameras in Metro Manila to get footage of policemen in action.
The program is expected to run on the state-owned People's Television Network.
The show will follow the format of the American TV series "Cops", which features raw clips of police officers arresting lawbreakers, Cruz said.
The PNP will also launch a mobile application and text hotline that will be dedicated to receiving drug-related tips and complaint.
