No new COVID-19 cases, fatalities among Filipinos abroad; total still at 9,001

MANILA - The Department of Foreign Affairs on Sunday said there are no new cases of COVID-19 recorded among Filipinos abroad.

With this development, the total number of cases abroad stands at 9,001.

The DFA also reported no new fatalities.

Of the total cases, 3,046 are active while 5,321 have recovered. A total of 634 have succumbed to the disease.

These cases are from 65 countries and regions.

The breakdown by region of those undergoing treatment is as follows: 149 in the Asia-Pacific; 505 in Europe; 2,273 in the Middle East and Africa; and 119 in the Americas.

In the Philippines, 67,456 confirmed COVID-19 cases have been recorded, as of Sunday, of which 43,160 are active.

The infectious disease has claimed the lives of 1,831, while 22,465 have recovered.
