Today’s multicultural couples are making their wedding ceremonies uniquely their own.

And for an Iloilo native and her Danish husband, no request was too big and no intricate detail was too small when it came to their church wedding held in Bingawan town, Iloilo.

Amfe Gallaza of Bingawan town and Martin Poulsen from Denmark tied the knot on Saturday, July 13, at the Cubay Evangelical Church.

And instead of the usual bridal car, the couple rode a makeshift bamboo pulled by a carabao, a ride popularly called the carroza, for their big day.

The couple got married in Denmark last April 2018 but Poulsen decided to give his wife the wedding of her dreams in her hometown and in the presence of her loved ones.

Photos of the couple riding the carozza went viral, with netizens admiring them for using the traditional way of transport on their most important day.
